Fire Service Training Center

Since opening in 2001, the new Fire Service Training Center located on Northwest Campus is committed to serving the training needs of fire departments and the community at large.

The Tarrant County College Fire Service Training Center holds regular Basic Fire Academy day classes. The Academy is certified with the Texas Commission on Fire Protection Personnel Standards, which will render graduates eligible to apply for state certification in basic firefighting.

All applicants must be EMT certified. Applicants who are paid employees of a fire department will have first priority for enrollment.
