Culinary Arts
Tarrant County College's Culinary Arts program is designed to prepare the student to enter a career in commercial food preparation for hotels, restaurants and clubs. Students who successfully complete the two-year program earn an Associate of Applied Science degree.
Tarrant County College Southeast Campus offers the only comprehensive program of study in Tarrant County. The program is taught in state-of-the-art food service and dining facilities by faculty with years of professional experience.
Controlled class size allows for individual attention, and several courses transfer to four-year colleges and culinary schools. Graduates from the Culinary Arts program are able to integrate hands-on technical skills with supervisory and business management capabilities to add value to an organization because they possess:
- Well developed communication skills
- Food preparation and meal management acumen
- Food and beverage operations expertise
- Nutrition and diet therapy knowledge
- Strong team player attitudes
- Strong computer skills
