Faculty Association

Purpose

In keeping with the Mission Statement, the Institutional Goals, and the trust placed in us by the Board of Trustees of the Tarrant County College District, we as faculty members have joined together in professional association to ensure that the faculty shares appropriately in policy making and in the responsibility for all aspects of campus and District planning and operation. This association is also established in order to support the right of all colleagues to academic freedom and due process and to provide a channel of reciprocal communication between the faculty and administration of TCC.

Membership and Privileges

The membership of the District Faculty Association shall include all personnel whose duties and responsibilities are directly related to the instructional program and whose activities are directly related to the educational development of students. This shall include full-time positions in the following classifications: instructional faculty at the level of department chairperson or below, student development services professionals, academic advisors, library professionals at the level of Assistant Director or below, clinical instructors, and degreed or certified continuing education instructors.
