Tarrant County Technology Usage Survey 2012

What Is the Tarrant County Technology Usage Survey (TCTUS)?

The Tarrant County Technology Usage Survey (TCTUS) is designed to find out what technologies are in use or have an increasing user base within Tarrant County.

Tarrant County College (TCC) is dedicated to providing a solid foundation to our students and a skilled workforce for Tarrant County employers. Northwest Campus is reaching out to area companies that hire Information Technology personnel locally to learn how TCC can tailor programs to meet local needs.

Goal of TCTUS

To obtain information from Tarrant County companies about the tools, technologies and methodologies used by Information Technology with the aim of providing:

  • Graduates with employable skills for jobs within Tarrant County
  • Specific training, offered in an accessible format, for commonly-used technologies
  • Employers with a point of contact within the College community to answer questions about programs or areas of specialization

Survey Confidentiality

TCTUS collects information about specific tools, technologies and methodologies. Companies can be assured that their specific answers will be anonymous when published for College use.

Any proprietary technologies or methodologies used by companies will not be identified by name, but will be included in a blanket “Other” category of Tools, Technologies, and Methodologies.

How the Information Will Be Used

The information obtained in this survey will be used internally by TCC to ensure the stability, usability and focus of our degree and certification programs and non-credit offerings.

The College will also use the results of this survey as a way to build relationships within the Tarrant County College System for future education or specialized training needs and enhancements or changes to our credit and non-credit offerings.

TCC offers degree programs in many disciplines. The focus of this survey is the Information Technology area. TCC has the ability to offer training and education in multiple formats – college credit, continuing education, and Corporate/Business Services.

Who Will Receive the Survey?

TCC Northwest Campus will ask approximately 150 area companies to complete this survey in some form.

All responses will be made available in printed form, at a company's request, and electronically within the Tarrant County College District.

Company names will not be associated with specific technologies; company names will only appear in a list of participating companies.
