The Texas Health Resources Scholarship
Created for Tarrant County College students pursuing careers in the health-care field.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must have been admitted into one of the following TCC allied health programs with the intent to pursue an Associate of Applied Science Degree or a Certificate of Completion: Health Information Technology, Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Care or Surgical Technology.
- Must enroll in a minimum of 9 semester hours (8 if in nursing program) for period of award.
- Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.75, 3.0 GPA is desirable, in all required courses for the allied health program for which the student is pursuing.
- Must meet federal guidelines for financial need.
- Scholarship is automatically renewable, for up to six semesters for A.A.S. students and three semesters for Certificate of Completion students, as long as a minimum semester GPA of 2.75 is maintained and a minimum of 9 credit hours (8 if in nursing program) are completed.
Application Process
- Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Complete the current FAFSA for determination of financial need. The financial aid process must be completed by the scholarship deadline.
- First-time TCC students: an academic transcript or GED scores, if applicable. Submit to the Foundation office.

$500 per semester
