The Sam Krhovjak Memorial Scholarship
The Sam Krhovjak Memorial Scholarship is established by colleagues of Sam Krhovjak, Provost of Continuing Education at Tarrant County College from 1975 to 1996, in his memory for the benefit of students enrolled in Continuing Education classes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College with the intent to enroll in one or more state-funded Continuing Education courses. State-funded courses are usually career or occupational courses and can be identified by the fourth character in the Course Section (i.e., ACNT-1002); generally, all courses with a letter other than "X" as the fourth character are eligible for this award.
- Must meet state guidelines for financial need, as determined by completing the Continuing Education Financial Aid Application. Individuals receiving Title IV funding (Pell, SEOG, etc.) for credit courses are not eligible for this award.
Application Process
- Complete the Tarrant County College Foundation Continuing Education Scholarship Application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Complete the current Continuing Education Financial Aid Application for determination of financial need; submit form to the Continuing Education Office of the campus on which you will enroll. The financial aid process must be completed by the scholarship deadline.
Scholarship Amount
Amount awarded is based on the amount not covered by TPEG support, up to $1,000, for tuition and textbook(s).
Deadline to Submit Application
The priority deadline is August 19, 2011, at 11:59 p.m.
