The Ben L. Fryrear Scholarship for Business Students

An endowed scholarship created by Ben L. Fryrear for students of Tarrant County College pursuing accounting/business studies. Created to help those who believe that education and hard work are the pathways to success.

Eligibility Criteria 

• Must be entering second year at Tarrant County College and pursuing an associate degree in business studies such as accounting, business, management, marketing, office administration or small business management.
• Must have graduated from a high school in Tarrant County, Texas.
• Must have completed a minimum of 25 credit hours at TCC.
• Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.5.
• Must enroll in a minimum of 12 semester hours for period of award.
• Must meet federal guidelines for financial need.
• Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 2.5 is achieved in the fall and a minimum of 12 credit hours are completed.

Application Process

• Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• Complete the current FAFSA for determination of financial need. The financial aid process must be completed by the scholarship deadline.

Scholarship Amount

$1,000 per semester
