The Dr. Michael Saenz Scholarship
An endowed scholarship created by friends and family of Dr. Michael Saenz, former president of TCC Northwest Campus, upon his retirement and in honor of his many years of service to Tarrant County College. Dr. Saenz was the first president of NW Campus, serving from 1975 through 2006.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College with the intent to pursue a bachelor's degree at a four-year institution.
- Must attend Northwest Campus.
- Must meet federal guidelines for financial need.
- Must enroll in a minimum of 9 semester hours for period of award.
- Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.75 or high school equivalent if a first-time TCC student or minimum total standard GED score of 2750.
- Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum GPA of 2.75 is maintained in the fall and a minimum of 9 credit hours are completed.
Application Process
- Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Complete the current FAFSA for determination of financial need. The financial aid process must be completed by the scholarship deadline.
- First-time TCC students: an academic transcript or GED scores, if applicable. Submit to the Foundation office.
Scholarship Amount
$500 per semester
