The Frances Schuessler Scholarship
A family scholarship established for students at Tarrant County College in memoriam to Professor Emeritus of Music Frances Schuessler.
Eligibility Criteria
- Preference is given to applicants who are single head of household and who are trying to improve the quality of life for themselves and their families.
- Preference is given to students enrolled or enrolling in the Women in New Roles (WINR) program at any Tarrant County College campus and who are music majors.
- Must enroll in a minimum of 9 semester hours for period of award.
- Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.75 or high school equivalent if a first-time TCC student or minimum total standard GED score of 2750.
- This is a merit-based scholarship; although determination of financial aid is not required, students are encouraged to file a FAFSA application for other forms of available aid.
- Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 3.0 is achieved in the fall and a minimum of 9 credit hours are completed.
Application Process
- Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- First-time TCC students: an academic transcript or GED scores, if applicable. Submit to the Foundation office.
Scholarship Amount
$750 per semester
