The Frances Schuessler Scholarship

A family scholarship established for students at Tarrant County College in memoriam to Professor Emeritus of Music Frances Schuessler.

Eligibility Criteria

Preference is given to applicants who are single head of household and who are trying to improve the quality of life for themselves and their families.
Preference is given to students enrolled or enrolling in the Women in New Roles (WINR) program at any Tarrant County College campus and who are music majors.
Must enroll in a minimum of 9 semester hours for period of award.
Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.75 or high school equivalent if a first-time TCC student or minimum total standard GED score of 2750.
This is a merit-based scholarship; although determination of financial aid is not required, students are encouraged to file a FAFSA application for other forms of available aid.
Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 3.0 is achieved in the fall and a minimum of 9 credit hours are completed.

Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
First-time TCC students: an academic transcript or GED scores, if applicable. Submit to the Foundation office.

$750 per semester
