The Victory Scholarship
The Victory Scholarship has been created to celebrate and further the academic mission of Tarrant County College. TCC has had a generational impact on the Tarrant County community by providing access to the dream of higher education. The Victory Scholarship is intended to help future generations keep their faith and hope for a better life and community impact.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College with the intent to pursue an associate degree or a certificate of completion.
- Must be of the first generation in the family to attend college.
- Must meet federal guidelines for financial need.
- Preference is given to applicants who are single head of household with children.
- Must enroll in a minimum of 9 semester hours (8 if in nursing program) for period of award.
- Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.75 or high school equivalent if a first-time TCC student or minimum total standard GED score of 2750.
- Must be a Tarrant County resident.
- During the course of the semester, the student must volunteer at least eight hours with a faith-based organization.
- Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 2.75 is achieved in the fall, a minimum of 9 credit hours (8 if in nursing program) are completed, and signed verification of volunteer service is provided to the Foundation Office.
Application Process
- Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Complete the current FAFSA for determination of financial need. The financial aid process must be completed by the scholarship deadline.
- First-time TCC students: an academic transcript or GED scores, if applicable. Submit to the Foundation office.

$1,000 per semester

The priority deadline is May 6, 2011 at 11:59 p.m.
