The Jim Worden Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in the memory of Mr. Jim Worden, former dean and president of South Campus. This scholarship was established to recognize academic excellence in students at South Campus.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College with the intent to pursue an associate degree or a certificate of completion.
- Must attend South Campus.
- Must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours.
- Must enroll in a minimum of 12 semester hours (8 if in nursing program) for period of award.
- Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 3.0.
- This is a merit-based scholarship; although determination of financial aid is not required, students are encouraged to file a FAFSA application for other forms of available aid.
- The donors favor volunteerism, and other qualifications being equal, candidates with a history of volunteer activity will be preferred.
- Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 3.0 is achieved in the fall and a minimum of 12 credit hours (8 if in nursing program) are completed.
Application Process
- Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Scholarship Amount
$500 per semester
