The May Owen Nursing Scholarship
Established by Dr. May Owen to recognize and reward outstanding achievement and dedication to the profession of Nursing.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently enrolled in the Associate of Applied Science Program in Nursing at Tarrant County College.
- Must have completed a minimum of 36 hours, or half of the required hours for the A.A.S. in Nursing Degree.
- Must enroll in a minimum of 8 semester hours for period of award.
- Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 3.0, 3.25 desirable, to demonstrate superior aptitude and ability in the Nursing Program.
- This is a merit-based scholarship; although determination of financial aid is not required, students are encouraged to file a FAFSA application for other forms of available aid.
- The donors favor volunteerism, and other qualifications being equal, candidates with a history of volunteer activity will be preferred.
- Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 3.0 is achieved in the fall and a minimum of 8 credit hours are completed.
Application Process
- Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

$500 per semester
