The Dan Echols Memorial Scholarship

A scholarship created in memory of Dan Echols, former instructor at Tarrant County College Northeast Campus.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College with the intent to pursue an associate degree or certificate of completion in graphic communication, journalism, or radio/television broadcasting.
Must enroll in a minimum of 12 semester hours for period of award (at least 6 of which are graphic arts, journalism, or radio/television courses).
Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.5 or high school equivalent if a first-time TCC student or minimum total standard GED score of 2850.
Preference is given to students who meet federal guidelines for financial need.
Recipient will continue to receive a scholarship, for up to four semesters, if a minimum semester GPA of 2.5 is achieved each semester and a minimum of 9 credit hours are completed each semester.

Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Complete the current FAFSA for determination of financial need. The financial aid process must be completed by the scholarship deadline.
First-time TCC students: an academic transcript or GED scores, if applicable. Submit to the Foundation office.

$250 per semester
