The C.J. Jackson Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Dr. Cathie Jackson in celebration and appreciation of the support staff of the Tarrant County College Admissions, Records and Registrar offices who worked diligently on behalf of students and the community during her 34 years with TCC. This scholarship will enable excellent students to achieve their educational goals.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College with the intent to pursue an associate degree or a certificate of completion.
- Must enroll in a minimum of 6 semester hours for period of award.
- Must meet one of the following academic criteria:
- Have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.0 if a current or returning student.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 if a transfer student.
- New-to-college students are eligible for consideration with no academic criteria.
- Must meet federal guidelines for financial need.
- Preference will be given to dependents of current or previous employees of TCC.
- Recipient will continue to receive a scholarship, for up to the completion of an associate degree/certificate of completion, if a minimum semester GPA of 3.0 is achieved each semester and a minimum of 6 credit hours are completed. (Student must enroll continuously for fall and spring semesters to qualify for renewal.)
Application Process
- Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Complete the current FAFSA for determination of financial need. The financial aid process must be completed by the scholarship deadline.
- First-time TCC student:, an academic transcript or GED scores, if applicable. Submit to the Foundation office.

$500 per semester
