The Margaret Shilling Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Margaret Shilling to promote her desire to assist others in pursuing their educational goals.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be currently enrolled at Tarrant County College pursuing an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Dietetic Technician or a Certificate of Completion in Dietary Management, Child Nutrition Systems, Fitness, Nutrition and Health Promotion and Dietetics I.
- Must have completed 7 hours in Tarrant County College Dietetics courses (HECO, FDNS, IFWQA, CHEF dietetic required courses) at Southeast Campus.
- Must enroll in a minimum of 6 semester hours for period of award.
- Must have a minimum TCC GPA of 2.5.
- Preference is given to students who meet federal guidelines for financial need; however, if no qualified applicant meets these federal guidelines, then award will be made based on merit.
- Recipient will receive a spring scholarship if a minimum semester GPA of 2.5 is achieved in the fall and a minimum of 6 credit hours are completed.
Application Process
- Complete the TCC Foundation scholarship application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Complete the current FAFSA for determination of financial need. The financial aid process must be completed by the scholarship deadline.
Scholarship Amount
$750 per semester
